The latest drawing (made in 2024) is a comic (the sample above is a single sample frame) about the web, social media, and sensory overload using the characters from Pop Team Epic. It is too large to fit in the image viewer so you have to view the full comic in a new window.

Description
A WIP from 2022 I finished a bit late in 2024. It's a crossover between Digimon Tamers x Digimon Cybersleuth (the portal, mainly). Guilmon is trying and failing to eat fast food (specifically, the vegan McDonalds Mr. Charlie's). Terriermon found the portal but Takato is oblivious while on the phone to Henry.

Panel 9.
Popuko is crying while holding a bandaid with one on her eye with boxes of bandaids nearby. The text box reads Chaos to me is too sensory and painful.
Panel 10 has an extreme close up on Popuko's face which has blood vessel marks and iris marks. The text boxes read Chaos is also online. Fake, misleading, and hateful content is widely circulated online by millions. Text near Popuko's angry face reads JKR is posting transphobic shit again.
Panel 11. Speed lines point down with two thought bubbles. The first reads 24-hour news, infinite scroll... why? The second reads Guess I better go back to Mastodon again, with a sweat mark near the bubble.
Panel 12 has a multi-fingered hand giving the thumbs up. The text reads A random bot has liked your post.
Panel 13 has many thumb down icons.
Panel 14 has a stop sign with DNI Do not interact in large text. The background has more stop signs.
Panel 15 has a hand giving the middle finger to the viewer with blood tension marks all over.
Panel 16 has a network of interconnected dots. Below it, the dots are free near a cookie with bite marks in it. Below that, a partially eaten cookie with chocolate chips on it.
Panel 17 has an analog clock set to 4PM. Below, the clock warps, set to 4:07PM, below that the clock is melting set to 7:13PM.
Panel 18 has multiple chocolate chip cookies. The text reads Please confirm your cookie preferences. They're fresh! From the oven of capitalism. Accept button and below Reject* button, with *Not really lol beneath it.
Panel 19 has a close up on Pipimi's face with one eye partly closed. A sound effect nearby mishimishi (creaking). The text box reads Chaos is sensory hell...
Panel 20 has the text migraine with a repeating shadow effect on either side to distort the text. The text box reads But there is a silver lining.
Panel 21 has a close up on a smartphone screen of a conversation between egg icons. The first says So, JKR should stop posting holocaust denial. The second says, Maybe we shouldn't support your mental illness. The third says Maybe you should STFU. The last has ellipses next to it and the egg icon has a crack in it. The keyboard says Braille Keyboard Activated with six circles labelled 3-1 and 4-6. The text box reads Despite all the doom scrolling and the noise and frustration.
Panel 22 has large text filling the panel. Buy Our product or you'll miss out on our daily newsletter spam and endless junk marketing emails you can't easily unsubscribe from without calling [occluded words] hotline [occluded words] our [occluded words] staff. A play and pause icon is at the bottom left with a lock icon next to it with the text autoplay is turned on forever nearby.
Panel 23 has a conversation between Pipimi and a chatbot. The text reads Our virtual assistant, Elon, has joined the chat to help you. The robot icon has a speech bubble Good morning, how can I help you? Pipimi says I'd like to talk to a real person about my account, plz. (smile emoji) The chat bot replies I'm sorry, can you please repeat your query in another way. Pipimi says Let me talk to a human being!! (frown emoji) She writes many As to scream, the text leaves the speech bubble and overlaps with Pipimi's icon.
